Freight Shipping
The majority of our products (because they are heavy) are shipped by commercial common carrier. A forklift (or similar material handling equipment) will be needed to unload the product if the delivery address does not have a loading dock. It is normally cheaper to have a product shipped either to a business address or trucking terminal. (Rather than to a residential address).
THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RESPONSIBLE FOR UNLOADING
THE PRODUCT FROM THE TRUCK
For the majority of states, a lift gate may be provided at no extra charge. Th 1000 lb. capacity lift gate will be able to lower many of the products that weight under 1000 lbs. IE: motorcycle lifts, tire changers, wheel balancers, etc. Above ground lifts (because of their excessive weight) cannot be lowered to the ground with the power tailgate. The customer is always responsible for providing the necessary offloading equipment. If the lift is picked up at a trucking terminal (normally), the terminal staff will be able to load the equipment on your trailer or truck. Products can also be picked up at one of our nine locations. Call for availability before coming to pick up.

2-POST LIFT
The Atlas® 9KOH is shown in the picture above. The Atlas® 9KOH has a shipping weight of approximately 1,450 lbs. with shipping dimensions of 9' 5" long x 1' 10" wide x 3' 4" tall. Some of our other 2 post lifts are larger than the Atlas® 9KOH, but are packaged in a similar fashion.
If you are going to pick up a 2-Post lift from Atlas Auto Equipment Sales, you MAY or MAY NOT require you to bring a trailer. Single piece columns on two post lifts make the package over 12 feet long.
4-POST LIFT
The Atlas® Garage Pro 8,000 is shown in the picture above. The Atlas® Garage Pro 8,000 has a shipping weight of approximately 1,720 lbs. with shipping dimensions of 13' 11" long x 1' 10" wide x 2' 4 ¼" tall. Some of our other 4 post lifts are larger than the Atlas® Garage Pro 8,000, but are packaged in a similar fashion.
If you are going to pick up a 4-Post lift from Atlas Auto Equipment Sales. This WILL require you to bring a trailer.

MOTORCYCLE LIFT
The Atlas® Cycle Lift is shown in the picture above. Our motorcycle lifts are shipped via common carrier. The Atlas® Cycle Lift has a shipping weight of approximately 500 lbs.
If you are going to pick up a motorcycle lift from Atlas Auto Equipment Sales. This will NOT require you to bring a trailer.
TIRE CHANGER
The Atlas® TC221 is shown in the picture. Our Atlas® tire changers range in weight from 500 to 1,800 lbs.
If you are going to pick up a tire changer from Atlas Auto Equipment Sales. This will NOT require you to bring a trailer.
WHEEL BALANCER
The Atlas® WB11 wheel balancer is shown in the picture. Our wheel balancers are shipped in wooden crates. The WB11 balancer has a shipping weight of approximately 355 lbs.
If you are going to pick up a wheel balancer from Atlas Auto Equipment Sales. This will NOT require you to bring a trailer.
SANDBLAST CABINETS
If you are going to pick up a sandblast cabinet from Atlas Auto Equipment Sales. This will NOT require you to bring a trailer.
AIR COMPRESSOR
Our air compressors are shipped on wooden palettes and range in weight from 252 to 1,050 lbs. depending on the model. The Atlas® Air Force AF9/17 air compressor is shown in the picture and has a shipping weight of approximately 627 lbs.
If you are going to pick up an air compressor from Atlas Auto Equipment Sales. This will NOT require you to bring a trailer.
Freight Shipping Policy
This item will be shipped by common carrier to a BUSINESS ADDRESS in the USA (lower 48 states). Free Freight Is ONLY to a BUSINESS ADDRESS in the USA (lower 48 states). A BUSINESS ADDRESS is defined as a delivery address on which there is no residential dwelling. Some small businesses are located on the same property as the owner's home. These businesses would be classified as a RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS. A FARM/RANCH would be considered a RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS. Limited access facilities (EG: schools, municipalities, county highway garages, storage facilities, military bases, prisons, etc.) will be subject to a delivery surcharge. Rule of thumb about limited access facilities: If the driver must call ahead or pass through a security checkpoint to access the delivery area, then that delivery point will be classified a limited access facility. A freight surcharge will apply. If you cannot locate a TRUE BUSINESS FACILITY that can receive your product, then please call us BEFORE you place your bid to find out what will be the additional cost of the freight surcharge. Atlas Auto Equipment will make every effort to keep the additional RESIDENTIAL (and other non-business delivery addresses) surcharges to a minimum. These freight surcharges are dictated by the LTL shipping carrier and CANNOT "be waived" by Atlas Auto Equipment. Please do NOT ASK for (or expect) FREIGHT if you cannot provide a "BONAFIDE" business location for delivery. Your product will arrive in an enclosed truck. It is the customer's responsibility to provide enough space for a 53 foot tractor/trailer to access the business facility AND the customer is responsible for unloading the product. Freight does not apply to an address (whether business or residential) to where a freight truck cannot access. Due to the Weight of Items that are freight shipped a forklift (or something similar) is required to unload it. The SHIPPING is valid ONLY to a legitimate business address (not a home business address) that maintains normal business hours. There may be a truck freight terminal in your area that can receive the product and help load the product in your truck if you do not have a business address or the ability to offload the product.
